Eternal Paradise

Many times I say out loud, “Please return. Let this day be the day where You come back”.
For all this pain and all this grief weighs down my heart and steals joy like a thief, and all I want is to be with Jesus in paradise.
But today He may not come…
However, this day is still good, ordained by God, He planned it and brought it into existence for important reasons.
Therefore, live joyously, whether today be the day, or not, of Jesus’s return.
Don’t waste life. In the end, it will seem as but a day, a single moment, a dream. Life is short compared to what lies after death, so live your life the way God wants you to.
As Christians we know He will return. That alone should be enough to bring us joy, even in joyless times, hopeless times. Remember the promises He has made and find comfort in them.
Many times I say out loud, “Please return. Let this day be the day where You come back”.
My longing for this day only increases as the world grows darker and the chill of its bitter cold creeps all around, scaling through cities, coating the hearts of mankind, infecting lives. I want to leave it all behind…
But if this earth is still here, it’s for a good reason. God is not done with it, nor is He done with our lives.
Over time, I have learned that I am not to waste the days He has blessed me with. Am I perfect at that? No. Some days I find myself complaining, and then He has to set me straight again. Of course, I wait eagerly for His return, but in the meantime, I will accept what He gives and where He has placed me. There are still people who need to hear the Good News, people who we are meant to interact with before this world ends.
Are there times where you wish all the pain and darkness would end? Do you wish Jesus would return right now?
I encourage you to talk to Him about how you feel. Lay it all at His feet. Be honest with Him. Let Him move on your heart, listen to what He wants to say to you.
God’s plans are perfect. Everything happens for a reason. Talk to God about the plans He has for you, because you are still here for a reason. We all are.
Eagerly wait. But take in this life He has given as well, and live it to the fullest. It will all be worth it. In the end, God’s people will see Eternal Paradise. So hold on.
God bless you!
“And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.” -Luke 23:43
